[Livre] The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Minas Tirith, capitale du glorieux Gondor est attaquée. Le magicien Gandalf et l’armée du Rohan sortis victorieux de la terrible bataille du Gouffre de Helm, viennent prêter main forte à la cité assiégée. Aragorn, héritier légitime du trône du Gondor, s’interroge quant à sa Destinée. D’autant plus que Denethor, l’actuel Intendant du Royaume rongé par le chagrin suite à la mort de son fils Boromir, est au bord de la folie.

Frodon et Sam accompagnés du vil Gollum, continuent inexorablement leur route afin de mener à bien leur terrible mission. Mais traverser le Mordor s’avère extrêmement difficile. Frodon doit chaque jour supporter un peu plus le poids de l’Anneau qui n’aspire qu’à une chose : retrouver son maître légitime...
